Transcripts of letters to George Bell [manuscript]. 1945-1965.

Transcripts of letters written by Australian artist Russell Drysdale to art critic, teacher and patron George Bell over the years 1945-1965. The transcripts are accompanied by annotations and commentary by June Helmer, c. 1982. Also included in this volume are reproductions of thirteen sketches by Drysdale, the originals of which were mostly executed c. 1937-1940 and now form part of the George Bell Papers. The volume also includes a select bibliography prepared by Helmer.
